Summary : Second World War 'Dover Quad' style pillbox situated north of the Citadel and overlooking the north slope of the Western Heights. The pillbox is typical of this type, being square with wide splaying embrasures in the east, north and west walls.

(1) TR 3065 4080 'Dover Quad' style pillbox situated north of the Citadel (Hob UID 468101) and overlooking the north slope of the Western Heights. The pillbox is typical of this type, being square with wide splaying embrasures in the east, north and west walls. All of the pillboxes on the Western Heights were surveyed by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England between 1998 and 1999 as part of the Western Heights Survey project (event Hob UID 1316220 and monument Hob UID 467989).
