This brick built tunnel linked the strong points in the perimeter of the battery with the main battery complex and runs under a lane to the north of the battery. The tunnel has a barrel vaulted roof, and is inclined at both ends. The site was visited by the Fortress Studies group in 1992 during the Holderness Survey, they found the site to be in good condition, and felt it to be at little risk.(1)
The site was visited by R.Thomas on 17th Febuary 1995, the site was found to still be in good condition.(2)
