(SK 499 126) Fish Pond (NR) (2)

Three fishponds included in the scheduling of Ulverscroft Priory (SK 51 SW 4). A large sub-rectangular fishpond measuring 100m x 75m is situated at the northern termination of the western arm of the moat (see SK 51 SW 16). It is water-filled and embanked on the southern and western sides. To the north is a second sub-rectangular fishpond measuring 50m x 30m, embanked on the western side, but disturbed by the 19th century Ulverscroft Pond on the northern side. To the east of the two fishponds is a third pond measuring 80m x 15m which shows slight evidence of embanking. (3)
