More information : SU SU 21735209: Collingbourne Kingston 22, a bowl barrow 11 paces in diameter, 1ft high. Depicited on Colt Hoare's map of `Chidbury Camp' (1). Excavated by Thomas in 1957 (Barrow 12, site XI) who noted that it did not have a ditch. Stakes and post holes, together with flint implements and pottery, including beaker and grooved ware, were recorded within the central area of the mound, these have been interpreted by Thomas as an earlier occupation site, however these could also represent an earlier pre-mound phase to the barrow.
