More information : SU 21725213: Collingbourne Kingston 11, a bowl barrow 20 paces in diameter 3ft high (1). Excavated by Colt Hoare (RCH 10) without result (2). This barrow was one of nine to be investigated by Thomas in 1957 (Barrow 8) and was found to have no ditch. Features including stake and post holes, together with flint implements and pottery including beaker and grooved ware were found beneath the barrow. These features were interpreted by Thomas as an earlier occupation site. These are more likely to correspond to a pre-mound phase of the barrow. (3)
