Summary : A bowl barrow excavated by Colt Hoare and Thomas, an empty cist located but no burials found. Neolithic, Iron Age and Roman pottery has been found.
More information : Barrow 29. (1) SU 21695217: Collingbourne Kingston 12, a bowl barrow, 15 paces in diameter x 1.5ft high. (2) Excavated by Colt Hoare (RCH Barrow 11) who located an empty cist (3). The barrow ditch was located in 1957 by Thomas, no burials were located. (4) Neolithic, Iron Age and Roman pottery was recovered from the barrow ditch. (7) Dimensions given for this barrow are correct. OS 1:2500 survey revised. (5) Originally recorded as Collingbourne Kingston 12 by Goddard. (6)
