Summary : The St Pancras Roman Cemetery is situated outside the east gate of Chichester town, and was used mainly between AD70 and the late 2nd century and sporadically into the 4th century.

The cemetery covered an estimated area of 4.3 acres centred SU86550550 and, to date, excavations have revealed 326 burials. The cemetery dates from c70AD to the late 3rd/early 4th century and contained cremations and inhumations but later burials are sporadic. All the finds are with Chichester Museum. (3)
