Summary : A bell barrow. Excavations have not located any burials. Neolithic pottery recovered from a tank track cutting though the mound.
More information : Barrow 14. (1) SU 21785211: Collingbourne Kingston 13. A bell barrow, mound 84ft in diameter x 11ft high, berm 25ft wide, ditch 18ft wide x 2.5ft deep. (2) Excavated by Colt Hoare (RCH barrow 13) but no burials located. (3) Excavated by Thomas in 1955 (Site VIII) who located no burials. A sherd of Grooved ware pottery was recovered from a tank track cutting across the barrow in 1953. (4) The dimensions given for the barrow by Grinsell are substantially correct. OS 1:2500 survey revised. (5) Originally recorded as Collingbourne Kingston 13 by Goddard. (6)
