This circular weapons pit was situated to the east of Tunstall Hall.
The pit was a circular earthwork feature with a sandbagged lining.
This site was plotted from aerial photographs dated 1941 by the
Fortress Studies Group, the FSG also visited the site during
the Holderness Survey in 1992, but found it to be totally destroyed.

The monument is also visible as an earthwork on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. Due to coastal erosion the monument no longer survives in situ. (1a)
