(TA 3073 3258) Minefield.
This trapezium shaped minefield which was situated to the north of Tunstall was enclosed by barbed wire. The mines were laid in a open spaced pattern. The site was plotted from aerial photographs dated 1941 by the Fortress Studies Group. The FSG also visited the site in 1992 during the Holderness Survey, they found the site to be totally destroyed. (1-1a)

The monument is also visible as structures and earthworks on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. Due to coastal erosion part of the monument no longer survives in situ. (1a)

World War 2 trapezium shaped minefield to the north of Tunstall, enclosed by barbed wire. The mines were laid in an open pattern. Destroyed by 1992. (2)
