MONUMENT NO. 916281

Part of a post Medieval leat situated within the Birch Tor and Vitifer Tin Mines area extending from a point 50 metres southeast of Statts Bridge, into an area of tinworking 25 metres south of the Warren House Inn. An archaeological field survey in 1992 recorded the leat as a well-preserved channel with an average width of 2 metres and depth of 0.8 metres. On the downslope side is a bank of upcast material 2 metres wide and one metre high.
The leat intersects three openworks, in each case earth embankments have been constructed to convey the channels across.
