This lozenge style pillbox is a standard example of its type, built of re-inforced concrete, it formed part of the defensive, anti-invasion perimeter of the battery. Situated to the south east of the lifeboat cottages on Spurn Point, the building has 3" concrete drains at either end, the site was visited by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992. They found that the site was in good condition, but was at risk. (1)
