This single storey searchlight emplacement is a rectangular
structure constructed of concrete and brick. It has a double door in
the rear wall and a large curved opening in the front wall. There is
a circular vent over the searchlight emplacement itself, which would perform a cooling action on the searchlight when it was in use. (1-1a)
