More information : TA 2094 4798/2100 4770. Anti-tank cubes. This set of three rows of anti-tank cubes, 342 in total, were built of reinforced concrete and were of a standard size. They were positioned to channel the invading forces into the main areas of allied fire. The site was plotted from aerial photographs dated 1945 and when it was visited during the FSG/RCHME:Holderness Survey in 1992, no trace of the site remained. (1-1a)
The monument is also visible as upstanding structures on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. Also visible beach scaffolding. Due to coastal erosion the monument no longer survives in situ. (2)
