It took the form of two reinforced concrete anti-tank blocks, which were positioned in such a way as to restrict the width of Marine Drive, which is the main road on the promenade. (1-1a)
The monument is also visible as upstanding structures on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. (2)
