Summary : World War II road block, Hornsea. Plotted from aerial photographs, but now totally destroyed.
More information : (TA 1999 4677) Road block.

This road block was one of several similar obstacles blocking the

movements in the event of a beach head being established within the
town. This set of three anti-tank blocks blocked the main road out of
Hornsea heading south, the blocks were constructed of reinforced
concrete. The site was plotted by the Fortress Studies Group from
photographs dated 1945, but when the site was visited in 1992 by the
above no trace of it remained. (1-1a)
