Set in allotments north of Hornsea Mere this lozenge style pillbox is an example of one of the standard types of east coast pillbox. A semi -sunken, earth covered structure, this pillbox is constructed of reinforced concrete. The pillbox has 2 long loops to the front with
the rear loops being knocked into one, the loops in the north end
have been widened but those in the south are a standard type. The
building was visited by the Fortress Studies group in 1992 as part of the FSG,RCHME:Holderness Survey they found the site to be in good condition and at no apparent risk. (1)
