More information : TA 1987 4826. Lozenge pillbox. (see TA 14 NE 16 for full description) This pillbox, situated behind the bowling green club house, is a semi sunken structure of the `Lozenge' type, which was one of the standard forms of east coast pillbox. The building is constructed of reinforced concrete, and when it was visited by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 it was in good condition and not considered to be at risk. (1)
