Summary : A Bronze Age bowl barrow, partially demolished by construction of a railway line. Part of a Late Bronze Age urn was recovered from the barrow. The barrow is faintly visible as a slight earthwork on an aerial photograph.
More information : (`K' SU 18364087) Amesbury 84. A bowl barrow, partly cut away by railway line (no dimensions given). Part of a LBA urn from this barrow is in Salisbury Museum. (1)

Amesbury 84. SU 18364088. A spread bowl barrow 0.5m high partly destroyed, on the north by the railway cutting. Barrow is in poor condition. Resurveyed at 1:2500. (2)

Originally recorded as Amesbury 84 by Goddard. (3)

The barrow is faintly visible as a slight earthwork, damaged by construction of the railway line, on an early aerial photograph. It has been mapped by both RCHME's Salisbury Plain Training Area NMP and EH's Stonehenge WHS Mapping Project. (5)
