Summary : A Royal Observer Corps monitoring post. The site is located (with the surface features intact) on Holme Hill in Paull Holme. The site was built as part of an extensive network of posts designed to confirm and report hostile aircraft and nuclear attacks on the United Kingdom. At the time of the Defence of Britain survey of July 1999 the site was found to remain in a fair condition. The site was opened during June 1962 and closed in October 1968.

Situated on Holme Hill near Paull, this underground monitoring post
is of re-enforced concrete construction. Listed as Saltend (Hull)
Post 20/N.4 it was opened in June 1962, closing in October 1968. The
building was at little or no risk when surveyed by the Fortress
Studies Group during the Holderness Survey in 1992. It was in
excellent condition, still showing the entrance hatch and air vent
above the surface. (1)
