AO/61/299/1, Bastion - part of Stamford Town Wall standing in West Street, from south. (5) Bastion. West tower of the Medieval walls, near site of St Peter's Gate. At angle of street, 3 stages. Grade 1. (6) Brief description. (7,8) Tower of town wall, West Street, scheduled. (9) (The grid reference given by authy 9 is incorrect. The bastion is shown, but not described, on OS 1:2500 at TF02510697.)
