Summary : Possible Medieval boundary earthwork at Plumtree.
More information : (SK 612334) Plumtree. A prominent bank and ditch runs along the NW
boundary of the village and may originally have enclosed it. This is
presumably a medieval earthwork cf. Saxondale (see SK 63 NE 24),
perhaps marking off the home-closes from the arable and pasture
beyond. (1)
