Summary : Medieval settlement founded in the 12th century, and 14th century manorial chapel, known from documentary evidence.
More information : SK 808 979. Settlement of Wildsworth is documented from the end of the 12th century, but no indication of its size or population history is available until it became separately recorded in 19th century census returns. A manorial chapel was founded in the early 14th century. (1) There was no trace, on the available air photographs, of the settlement and chapel referred to by the previous authority. (2)
