ST MARYS CHURCH

ALTERNATIVE NAME:  Church of All Saints, Church of Saint Mary

13th century church, with 15th century additions. Restored 1869-90 by Sir T G Jackson. Plan of 13th century chancel and nave, remodelled 15th century with windows and south rood stair turret, 18th century south porch and west wall, 19th century organ chamber to north.Squared rubble Ironstone and Chilmark stone, later brick additions, stone and plain tile roofs. The church is all that remains of Ellingham Priory (see SU 10 NW 8).
