More information : (SY526910 Chilcombe shrunken village sited from auth 1 and OS 10560 1968) Chilcombe. Surface features in the field West of the two cottages in Chilcombe village suggest that the old village, never very large, extended from the church along the South East slope of the hill to the old crossroad.
