Summary : Nave and chancel arguably of mid-11th century date, 14th century North aisle and Western half of the North-East chapel, 15th century west tower and East part of the North-East chapel. Restored in the late 19th century when the porches and vestry were added.
More information : (TL33452189) All Saints Church [NAT]. (1) Parish Church of All Saints. C11th nave and chancel, C14th North aisle and Western half of the NE chapel, C15th west tower and East part of the NE chapel. Restored in the late C19th when the porches and vestry were added. Exceptionally fine interior including C15th monuments. Grade I. (2-3) A carved impost may be pre-Conquest, but there is little else in the fabric to suggest an Anglo-Saxon date. (4) The impost is arguably of mid 11th century date. (5)
