Summary : A large collection of Romano-British pottery has been found in an area surrounding the east part of Halfmoon Plantation, Sugar Hill. Wiltshire SMR entry states that the concentration of sherds may indicate the site of a Roman building. Scott has included the site in her gazetteer of Roman villas (listed erroneously under Aldbourne parish), stating that the sherds "may mark the site of a building previously identified by Bryn Walters".
