The tower in North Sunderland was demolished c 1790 when the present church and vicarage were built, and no trace of it remains. During demolition several score of coins ranging from Elizabeth to Anne were found. (2)
It stood about 20 yards NW of the church. [NU 2116314]. (3)
No visible remains. The present whereabouts of the coins is unknown. (4)
Listed by Cathcart King and Dodds. The building was 24 feet square, two-storeyed with a vaulted ground floor. It was demolished in 1832 to make way for the church. (5,6) |
