More information : [TA 20064759] Cross [GT] (Site of) [TI] (1) The market cross, now in the churchyard, has its old steps, but its head and part of the shaft are new. (2) The cross has now been restored to full height and is situated at TA 20074760. The lower half of the shaft, its socket-stone and stepped base are original. See GP AO/65/52/3. Re-surveyed, see TA 24 NW 6. (3) Medieval market cross, now in the churchyard. White limestone, triple-stepped plinth supporting base with corner chamfers and tapering cross-shaft. The steps, socket stone and lower shaft are original, but its head and upper part of the shaft are new restorations to full height. Grade II listed. (4)
