Summary : A flat-topped and steeply scarped natural hillock measuring about 40m north-south by 26m east-west and is up to 3m in height. It is thought to be a moot or meeting place rather than a motte. Also reported to be the site of a lodge.
More information : (TA 1460 4170) Mote Hill (NR) (Moat Hill - OS 6" 1855) (1) A flat topped steeply scarped natural hill measuring about 40.0m NNW/SSE by 26.0m and about 3.0m high with no trace of occupation. Possibly a 'moot hill', but not a motte. (2)
