More information : [TA 18522488] PAULL HOLME TOWER [LB] [TA 18522482] MOAT [LB] centred at (1) A 16th cent. brick tower, said to have been part of the mansion of the Holme family. In a ruinous condition. (2) Scheduled. (3) The tower has an original barrel-vaulted undercroft (now used as a cattle-byre) but is otherwise a roofless shell. It is, however, a good example of its period. No intelligible remains of the moat survive. Published survey (25") revised. See photograph. (4)

Paull Holme Tower. Remains of a mid/late 15th century tower, originally forming part of a larger, moated, tower house. The tower was restored in 1871. Brick-built and two storeyed, with barrel vaulted basement and parapet wall walk. The basement was being used as a byre in 1967. Listed Grade I. (6)
