| Summary : A mid 17th century country house which has now been converted into a hotel. The two-storey building is timber-framed with rendered infill and rendered coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. In the late 18th century the house was added to and altered. It was recorded in 1902 that a small deer park surrounded the building, but no trace of it was found in 1964. |

Sutton Hall, surrounded by a small deer park (3), contains remains
of the old timber and plaster building which formerly occupied the
site and which is mentioned in an Inq. p.m. in 1536. A small chapel
attached to the hall existed in the 17th c. and was in use until
c. 1760 but is now turned into an outhouse (2). (2-3)
Sutton Hall is not architecturally outstanding. The Chapel is again
in normal use.
No trace was found of a deer park. (4)
