THATCHED COTTAGE

DESCRIPTION + /

The remains of a Roman villa comprising at least five rooms including part of a bath-suite. The villa was originally discovered during digging for a fence post when tesserae, mosaic, plaster and flue tiles were recovered. The villa complex has been dug annually since the 1980s by Keele University.
