WEST CHESTLE VILLA

A series of Roman buildings at Cocklebarrow Farm, Aldsworth have been interpreted as a possible villa. Remains include large amounts of stone, imbrices and tegulae. A range of Romano-British pottery was also recovered including abraded Samian, Severn Valley and grey ware. The enclosure award notes the field as "Westchestle".
