Summary : Site of shrunken village of Elwick. Two pele towers were recorded in the survey of 1415, and extant in 1561, but no trace of such structures survives.
More information : A survey of c1715 refers to Elwick [NU 115369] as 'a small
village with the ruins of two ancient piles'. (1)

Listed as a D.M.V. [Nothing visible on available APs (RAF 1958)]. (3)

There are no visible depopulation remains around the farmstead and associated cottages now comprising Elwick, and no indications of either tower. (4)
