Summary : Site of shrunken village of Elwick. Two pele towers were recorded in the survey of 1415, and extant in 1561, but no trace of such structures survives. |
More information : A survey of c1715 refers to Elwick [NU 115369] as 'a small village with the ruins of two ancient piles'. (1)

There are no visible depopulation remains around the farmstead and associated cottages now comprising Elwick, and no indications of either tower. (4)
