More information : In the small village of Newtown are the remains of an ' ancient pile' (from a survey of c1715). (1) First mentioned in 1628. (2) Newtown is now a single farmstead at NU 16193547. There are no visible remains of a tower in the present buildings, or in the vicinity. (3)
