More information : (SJ 4318 5016) Cross (NR). (1) A churchyard cross consisting of an octagonal shaft on four steps, the lower being 7 ft square. It is in its original position, and was restored in April 1889. (2) As described above. See GP. (3) The cross consists of a calvary of three steps surmounted by a socket stone: into this has been inserted a modern sand-stone block. It is square to octagonal, 0.35 m across and protruds 0.3 m from the socket. Mounted on it, is the original shaft. Published survey (1:2500) correct. (4)
