Summary : Possible Medieval moated site. A roughly circular earthen mound about 11m in diameter and up to 1.5m high has been identified at this location. There is no evidence of an encircling ditch, and its function is uncertain.
More information : (SJ 488003) Possible moat or site of an old squarish house. (1) A perambulation of the area sited, within Longner Hall Deer Park, revealed no feature that answered to the above description. (2) Alleged Medieval moated site. (3) A roughly circular earthen mound about 11m in diameter and up to 1.5m high has been identified at this location. There is no evidence of an encircling ditch, and its function is uncertain. assessed for scheduling but rejected. Normal planning controls should apply. (4)
