NT 8743 2676. Trowupburn cairn group. Scheduled RSM No 24588. A round cairn with four associated secondary cairns. They are located on the summit of a spur, N of Trowupburn Farm. They have views to the S, Eand N, but are overlooked by a hill to the W. The main cairn has a mound 1m high made of stones with an earth and turf covering. Recent clearance stones dumped on top increase the height to 1.3m. Its diameter is 18m. Two smaller cairns are visible to the W and a further two to the E. These too are earth and turf covered stone mounds and appear to have formed secondary burials around the main cairn. The entire complex measures c.30m E-W by 18m N-S. (3)
