Summary : Supposed site of a Roman camp visible in the mid-19th century, nothing now visible.
More information : SE 98 77 (locality only). The camp at the foot of the Wold brow immediately W of Ganton, and to which three or four high-raised roads, on the Wold-hill above, ran, was spacious but is now of uncertain area. Possible site of Praetorium. (No trace on 1946 or 1948 RAF APs). (1)
