The site of the eastern tumulus is now only recognisable as a vague,
unportrayable swelling, while the other remains as a ploughed-down
round barrow, 20.0m diameter and 0.3m high. Published survey (25")
revised. (2)
SE 9556 3801. Round barrow 90m NE of Littlewood Lodge. Scheduled
RSM No 21143. The mound is 0.5m high with a diameter of 39m. The
barrow is crossed E-W by a hedge-line, the majority of the barrow
lying S of the hedge. To the N of the hedge the mound is less well
preserved, standing only 0.2m high. The ditch survives as a buried
feature 4m wide.
SE 9572 3803. Round barrow 1000m NE of Littlewood Lodge. Scheduled
RSM No 21144. The mound is 0.3m high with a diameter of 35m. The
barrow is crossed E-W by a hedge-line, the majority of the barrow
lying S of the hedge. The ditch survives as a buried feature 4m wide.
