More information : (`A' SE 82908887 `B' SE 82928887) Tumuli (NR). (1) `A' A small mound 16ft diameter, and 3ft high, destroyed on the north side by a modern ruined building. `B' A stony mound 39ft N-S, 35ft E-W, and 6ft high. Tree-covered, but in good condition. (2) Scheduled round barrow on Ness Head at SE 829892. (This NG reference appears to be incorrect as there is no indication of barrow at this position. The description may refer to one of the barrows mentioned above). (3) `A' All remains have now been destroyed by afforestation. `B' As described, but a probable round barrow, not a cairn as implied by Hayes. Published survey (25"). revised.
