GREAT EQUATORIAL BUILDING

A mid-19th century building forming part of the Old Royal Observatory. It takes the form of an octagonal building of htree storeys with a low domed roof. This roof replaced the original large onion dome which was removed when the Great Equatorial telescope was transferred to a different building.
