More information : (SE 777116). Tetley. A hamlet mentioned in 1316. Has lost separate
status, now part of Crowle. (1)

No surface evidence of desertion. (2)

SE 776116. Site of Tetley DMV, not mentioned in Domesday. "Testlehay"mentioned in a composition between Sir John de Mowbray and the Abbot
of Selby in 1311. (The name Tetley is centred at SE 777116 on OS
10,000 1973). The area to the S and E of Tetley Hall (SE 775117) has
been extensively quarried for clay, but no finds are recorded. (3)
