Grid Ref : SE5117010400
Summary : The remains of a slight elongated mound, much reduced and spread by cultivation, thought to be a possible motte and bailey castle. Scheduled.
More information : SE 5117 1040. Castle Hill [G.T.]. (1)

Re-surveyed at 1:2500. An extremely slight elongated mound much reduced and spread by cultivation. A superficial rise is apparent towards the eastern end of its axis with a level area on the west. The profile is suggestive of the remains of a small motte and bailey but no definite conclusions can be reached from its present state. (APs - CPE/UK 1880/5080-1 - negative). (2)
