Summary : Site of a Carmelite Priory, founded 1350 AD, dissolved in 1538. The site is now covered by modern development, though excavation has uncovered remains of the gatehouse.

A Carmelite house at Doncaster, founded in 1350, the site being bounded by High Street, Printing Office Street, and St. Sepulchre Gate. (2)

There are no visible remains of the priory, and its site is now covered by modern development. (3)

Excavations in 1976-7 at SE 5752 0329 on the site of the Subscription Rooms revealed the principal road into the friary, structures adjoining the road and the friary's gatehouse. The site appeared to be unoccupied till the founding of the friary. (5)
