More information : [Name SE 43254095] Site of BATTLE OF BRAMHAM MOOR [GT] 19th February 1408 [T.I.]. (1) Battle of Bramham Moor, 19th February, 1408. This battle was fought between rebel forces under the command of the Earl of Northumberland, and the King's forces under Sir Thomas Rokeby, High Sheriff of Yorkshire. Northumberland was killed and his army completely routed. The site is 3 1/2 miles from Tadcaster, on the Leeds road, where it is crossed by the Bramham and Aberford road. (2)
