More information : (SE 48210612 - sited from HHR map) II Summer House Bilham Mid to late C.18, reputedly built as an additional garden building for Brodsworth Hall. A careful design suggesting the work of a good architect. Rubble, chamfered ashlar in-and-out quoins and basement of chamfered rusticated ashlar. 2 storey centre, first floor band, single storey wings. No roof, moulded cornice, parapet with moulded coping. 3 segmentally arched basement panels, those to sides containing square windows, in centre round-headed window. Ground floor has central window with rusticated surround and raised keystones, window to each wing with semi-circular panel above. Interior has semi-circular entrance hall, circular central hall with niches. (1)
