Summary : Situated to the north-east of Winstanley Hall is a stable yard which contains, on its south-west side, a 17th century tithe barn. Constructed from dressed stone with ashlar dressings, it is of two-storeys and seven-bays and its external appearance within the stable yard probably dates to a remodelling in 1834 when the stables were built. It has a rounded tower to the front, concave end bays, and round-headed ground-floor openings and circular ones above. |
