Summary : Probable site of a Roman settlement.
More information : [Area centred SE 3973 4837] Trenches containing animal bones
and a number of querns were cut through some years ago when the new
loop line and railway station were made at Wetherby.
Three trenches were cut through on the west side of the present
entrance to the station "and probably the earliest [Roman] settlement
may be looked for in this neighbourhood." [For Ro-burials and other
finds see SE 44 NW 10] (1)

Mr. Kent stated that nothing further had come to light since the
original discoveries. (2)
